Katha Information

Kolkata - a metropolitan city is situated on the eastern bank of Hooghly river. Howrah is situated on the other side ie., on western bank connected through world famous Howrah Bridge.

Travel/Transport

  • Howrah is the nearest main railway station. Belur Math has it’s own railway station- Belur and is about 6 km from Howrah Railway station. NSC Bose Airport , Kolkata is the main Airport which is well connected with all parts of India and abroad by air.
  • Taxis, Buses, Mini Buses, Ola & Uber service from Railway station and Airport are frequently available. Autos & Local Trains also ply between Howrah & Belur Math.
  • Belur Math is also accessible directly from the Airport through Bally Bridge which takes about 30 / 35 minutes to reach Katha place. As such Hotels and accommodation are in the vicinity of airport area may also be looked at over the internet.
