By Road : Rudraprayag is well-connected by motorable roads with major destinations in Uttarakhand and

By Air : The nearest airport is Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun, approximately 159 kilometers away from
Rudraprayag. From the airport, you can hire a taxi or take a bus to reach Rudraprayag..
It takes 6 Hours to reach by road from Dehradun to Rudraprayag. As the travelling is in hilly region, it is advisable to all devotees to keep proper medicines with them to prevent vomiting or any discomfort during travel.
Rudraprayag is a town and a municipality in the Rudraprayag district of the Indian state of Uttarakhand. It’s known for being one of the Panch Prayag (five confluences) of the Alaknanda River, where it meets the Mandakini River. Dhari Devi a Hindu temple located on the banks of the Alaknanda River between Srinagar and Rudraprayag. It is centre of faith for Maa Kali devotees.

It is believed that when Mahamaya was conceived as the seventh child of Devaki, Kansa threw her fiercely to the ground. Her body was shattered into many parts which scattered across the world. The hand of Mahamaya is said to have fell at Hariyali Kantha.
