By Air:
Port Blair the Capital Town of Andman & Nicobar Islands can be reached by Air from Kolkata , Mumbai & Chennai . Air India, Go Air, Indigo, Spicejet & Vistara ,operates daily direct flight to and from Port Blair.

By Ship:
Port Blair can be reached by Ship from Kolkata & Chennai which takes 3 days to reach. Frequency of ships from Chennai are more and from Kolkata it is 3 times in a month.

WEATHER:

The average maximum daytime temperature in Port Blair in January/February be a warm 29°C (84°F) with humidity. The average night-time temperature is usually a warm 22°C (72°F). The average sea temperature in and around Port Blair in January / February be 28°C (82°F)

Cellular Jail ( Famous as KALA PAANI Jail ) – Veer Savarkar’s Cell (Kothari), where he was confined is a place every one must visit and pay respect to the Freedom Fighter) . Light & Sound show is conducted daily at the Cellular Jail in evening hours.
Havelock Island- Renamed now as ‘Swaraj Dweep’ , an overnight trip is recommended. Journey to Havelock is about 2-3 hours by Speed Boat . Radhanagr Beach in Havelock is only White Sand Beach in India. Other beaches in Havelock are Kala Patthar Beach & Elephanta Beach. There are super luxury as well standard level hotels in Havelock for night stay.

Ross Island – Renamed now as ‘Subhas Chandra Bose Island’, Smith Islands

Neil Islands – Renamed now as ‘Saheed Dweep’ , Jolly Buoy Island , North Bay Island

Chidiya Tapu , Wandoor Beach, Corbyn’s Cove Beach , Samudrika Museum, Anthropological Museum, Chatham Saw Mill are other attractions in Port Blair City.

Jarawas are a Primitive Tribe , protected by Govt of India to exist by their own culture and values. A buffer zone of 5 km radius has been notified around the Jarawa reserve, to ensure that they do not become unwitting targets of large scale tourism or commercial activities.

Sentinel Island– Its is Govt of India protected Island , Home to a primitive and enigmatic tribe known as ‘Sentinelese’ who have violently rejected contact with the outside world. The Sentinelese are the inhabitants of North Sentinel Island. They are probably the world’s only Paleolithic people surviving today without contact with any other group or community. The Sentinelese are very hostile and never leave their Island. Very little is known about these hostile tribes.

Interaction with these Tribes is restricted by the Govt of India and is a punishable offence.

Barren Island: In possession of India is the only historically active volcano.

ALL KATHA SHROTAS MUST CARRY THEIR GOVERNMENT ISSUED ORIGINAL PHOTO ID CARD.

Every shrota who are seeking free accommodation must send an email with all their details along with copy of photo IDs of each member, without which no request shall be entertained.

Adequate comfortable stay arrangements have been made by the organizers for Ramkatha Shrotas and will be strictly provided on first come first serve basis as per availability. Accommodation office will open from the morning hours of 29th January 2020 near to Katha Place. Besides above arrangements by the organizers; Hotels are available in abundance in all categories including star and budget hotels. However, Following hotels have been made available on negotiated tariff which may be booked directly with hotel under reference to ‘Ramkatha’ by 31st of December 2019, as per availability.

Organizers have made arrangements for conveyance and transport to and from Katha Place for the Shrotas who will be availing the accommodation provided by the organizers. Public transport like Town Buses, Auto Rickshaws, Meter Taxi are available for commuting in the City.

Following Travel Agent has been negotiated for supply of cars which may be booked directly by the shrotas if required. Apart from Cab booking people may book various Packaged tours like Day trip to Islands , Sun Rise / Sun Set, and City Tour offered by the travel agent.
