Katha Information

Visa Information:

  • EU/EEA/Swiss Nationals:
    • Citizens of the EU, EEA, and Switzerland do not need a visa to enter Spain. They can stay indefinitely with a valid passport or national ID card.
  • UK Nationals:
    • UK nationals can stay in Spain for up to 90 days within a 180-day period without a visa for tourism purposes.
  • Non-EU Nationals:
    • Many visitors from outside the EU/EEA/Switzerland and the UK will need a Schengen visa to enter Spain. This visa allows stays of up to 90 days within a 180-day period for tourism, business, or family visits.
  • Visa Exemptions:
    • Nationals of some countries, like the USA, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand, do not need a visa for short stays (up to 90 days) in the Schengen Area. Passports must be valid for at least three months beyond the intended departure date.
  • Application Process:
    • Submit visa applications to the Spanish consulate or embassy in your home country. Apply well in advance as processing times can vary.

Travel

  • By Air:
    • The Malaga-Costa del Sol Airport (AGP) is the main international gateway to the region. It offers numerous flights from major cities across Europe and other parts of the world. From the airport, you can reach the city center by taxi, bus, or train.
    • Some airlines which fly into Malaga airport includes British Airways, Lufthansa, Air France, KLM, Ryanair, Turkish Airlines, Swiss International Air Lines, Qatar Airways, Etihad Airways and many others.
  • By Train:
    • Malaga's María Zambrano Train Station is a major hub connecting the city to the rest of Spain. An alternative is to fly into Madrid Airport or any other international Airport in another major city in Spain and take a high-speed train directly to Malaga.
    • Please note from Malaga, taxis and Ubers are readily available, you can alternatively hire a car and take a 35-minute ride to Marbella.

Transport

  • Getting around Marbella is very easy. Taxis and Ubers are readily available. If you have a valid driver's license, you can also hire cars through rental companies such as Avis, Hertz, Europcar, Sixt, and Enterprise.
  • The Katha venue is within walking distance from many of the hotels in Marbella.

  • As September is a high season for tourists in Marbella, we recommend booking your accommodation as soon as possible.
